This page is the one-stop resource for all of your Feet First Soccer class AND Step Up Soccer Academy needs.

Weekly Feet First Classes will be held on Thursdays from 2:30 - 3:00 pm. Classes are for children 2.5 - 5 years old.

Step Up Soccer Academy Club session will be held on Thursdays from 1:55 - 2:25. The SUSA Club is for children 5 - 9 years old.

Feet First Soccer is excited to back at Discover Garden! We really look forward to seeing your child each week at class. Below is the weekly schedule for soccer students

Step Up Soccer Academy Club - Thursdays 1:55-2:25 pm
Ages 5-8 years old
Feet First Weekly Classes - Thursdays 2:30 -3 pm
Ages 3-5 years old

Coaching Staff

Coach Kali is the Springfield Director and will be the head coach for your child's Feet First Soccer class. She is excited to be partnering with Discover Garden and look forward to having your child in class!

Coach Kali

Originally from Houston, Texas, Kalissa now calls Springfield home. She has played soccer for most of her life and transitioned to a coaching position with Upstart Athletics in 2019. Since graduating from Kickapoo High School, Kalissa has been working with and around children and has a passion for non-profit organizations and volunteer work. She is lovingly known as Coach Kali on the soccer field where she is a “fan favorite.” Even though Kalissa now holds the position of Springfield Director, she is still very engaged with the Upstart Athletics kids and families. Outside of the soccer world, she enjoys spoiling her four pets and working on all kinds of art projects.

Every month, your child will focus on a new soccer move and character trait while going on many fun adventures. We want your child to be able to take what they learn in school then practice it at home - and we want you to be involved too! Each month we will post the new curriculum summary card below.

Feet First and Step Up Soccer Academy FAQ

WHAT IS WEEKLY SOCCER CLASS AT SCHOOL?

Upstart Athletics weekly soccer classes are designed to maximize MVPA (moderate to vigorous physical activity) during your child's school day. This helps them perform better in school and is a welcomed break from their normal routines. Our trained coach comes to your child's school once per week and leads a fun & engaging 30-minute soccer class.

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR SOCCER CLASS?

Nope! Your coach will come prepared with all of the needed gear for a fun & engaging soccer class. The only request is that your child wear comfortable clothes on Feet First days. No special clothes, shoes or gear is needed.

WHO WILL BE COACHING MY CHILD?

WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE DOING IN SOCCER CLASS?

Your child will experience and contribute to creative practices while learning real soccer skills. Each child will have a soccer ball at their feet for the entire class. Coach will come prepared with new curriculum every month with different games each week. Monthly Curriculum will be shared in your team chat and added to your team's resource page in the PlayMetrics app.

Great! The next step is registering for the ongoing regular classes. You may do so by clicking the link above. You only need to sign up once, enable autopay, and your account will be automatically billed each month. You can cancel at anytime.

HOW MUCH IS THE CLASS?

Upstart Athletics' Weekly Soccer Class is $50, billed monthly. The number of classes per month will range from 3-5, depending on the number of weeks in each month.
